1. Geometric alignment is not, by itself, a measure of quality.
2. Pitch depends on the length of the vibrating front section: the part you pluck. Changing that length makes the note lower or higher, rather than inherently better or worse. The owner should check the tuning and may change it if desired. The rear sections need not be the same length; within the normal construction, their alignment does not determine the tuning. Extra length mainly provides room for future retuning. Whether the rear ends form a neat comb or look irregular has no practical significance.
